Ifeanyi brings a client-centric philosophy to legal representation, deploying skills honed over years of practice and participation in the justice systems of both Canada, and Nigeria – where he has been licensed to practice law since 2017. He completed his articles in family and criminal law with the Legal Aid Ontario in Pembroke, Ontario, and before that worked with various family law and civil litigation practices in Windsor, Ontario.
Following his call to the Canadian bar, Ifeanyi practiced commercial civil litigation, estates and trusts, and family law at a reputable Ottawa law firm, where he sharpened his litigation and client management skills. He brings an empathetic, compassionate, detailed and experienced approach to family law, providing a steady hand to guide clients through one of the most challenging times and processes in their lives. Ifeanyi assists his clients with parenting arrangements, negotiating domestic contracts, equalization of family assets, matrimonial home issues, child protection, and support issues. Whether collaborating to reach an amicable resolution or driving contentious litigation through the courts, Ifeanyi helps his clients reach a satisfactory outcome.
A graduate of the University of Windsor’s LLM program, Ifeanyi’s research on utilizing hybrid courts in transnational climate litigation received recognition at the United Nations COP27 meeting, as well as adjudged the best thesis proposal for the faculty of law at the University of Windsor’s annual graduate thesis showcase in 2022.
Outside of work, Ifeanyi enjoys hiking and amateur golf.
